"We began flipping homes together for fun as side projects and would post onto our social media pages to share with friends and family. Soon the question of "are y'all doing this full time?" became a weekly enquiry and sparked the initial idea of us taking the leap and making career changes. We were planning to leave from the culinary industry and our friend Ben wanted to go out on his own. Kyle is great at staying on top of projects and running the numbers, Ben brings all the construction knowledge to the table, and Katelyn is the creator and designer. Our puzzle pieces aligned, so we grabbed our materials and started building.
We started small, advertising locally at taking small projects. Before we knew it, previous clients started sending leads our way and we began to grow much faster than we ever expected! The Lowcountry's real estate growth continues and so do we. Charleston has something for everyone and that's what we want to give to our clients. We pride ourselves on being able to consistently provide our clients with unique design options, reliable service and budget-friendly ideas. We love living in the Lowcountry and we want our clients to have a place they love to call home!
We're so excited to get to know you and design your dream space!"
- the PRD team
As PRD's Lead Designer, Katelyn greets clients for initial consultations with a spreadsheet and a smile. She's the creative force behind PRD's unique designs and brings the client's vision to life. Katelyn loves working with clients who want to color outside the lines and think beyond the walls of any space. Her obsession with checklists ensures each client knows the nitty gritty details of each project throughout the design and renovation process. Katelyn can often be found daydreaming about fun finishings and fixtures, organizing spreadsheets, or discovering unique decor.
When she's not working, you can bet Katelyn is planning her next vacation abroad in hopes wherever she lands, they have her favorite cocktail and the best nachos!
As PRD's Product Manager, Kyle is the jack of all trades who makes the magic happen. Project schedules. Cost estimates. New leads. These are a few of his favorite things. Kyle loves working with clients who are realistic about the renovation process, but enjoys walking newbies through the process as well. He is unapologetically outgoing and obsessed with customer service. Clients can count on Kyle to keep them in the loop throughout the renovation. He can often be found on the phone with clients, running numbers, or managing relationships with PRD's partners.
When he's not working, you can bet Kyle is watching the Georgia Bulldogs or cooking a delicious meal for family and friends.
As PRD's General Contractor, Ben is full of talent and carries a little sawdust wherever he goes. As a child, he followed his dad's footsteps into the industry and has never looked back. One of his first big projects was a hardwood floor installation and since then, he's been hooked on carpentry. Now some of his favorite projects include custom built ins, waterfall bars and one of a kind tables and desks. He enjoys creating a unique project that clients love! Ben can often be found with a power tool in hand, a pencil behind his ear, probably listening to Widespread Panic.
When he's not working, you can bet Ben is dreaming about a simple and secluded little house on the river with a huge garden in the yard, enjoying every element the Lowcountry has to offer.
Our Assistant Designer, Brandi is our go-to gal for all things design-related! She works closely with Katelyn to keep our clients well-informed about their projects, and our admirers up-to-date on the latest with PRD. Brandi will never say no to being involved with a kitchen renovation project; she believes it's the heart of the home, and loves to help clients personalize their own space. She makes creativity look easy, and draws from inspiration everywhere she goes!
When she's not brainstorming unique ideas for clients, you can bet she's snuggling with her pups, sipping an iced coffee and planning her and her husband's dream home on the water with a perfect little wrap around porch.
