Part of the fun with home remodeling is picking out your finishings. From light fixtures to door handles, cabinet hardware and faucet fixtures. A lot of decisions must be made. This is where we come in to help! Although very overwhelming, Katelyn and I try to alleviate the stress of this process, especially for those who do not find joy in making decisions.
Each project we take on, we create an Ideabord with Houzz. Houzz is a great source for anyone looking to make updates to spaces in their home and can be used by both clients and professionals. You can find picture ideas, shop for products, find professionals within your area, and also seek advice. We use the ideaboard feature to save products that our clients may be interested in for their current project. What most don’t realize is the factors that must come into play with purchasing products:
- finish (brass, nickel, black, chrome, bronze, etc)
- size of object
- style (modern, traditional, farmhouse, midcentury, etc)
- price range
The concept behind the idea book is very similar to that of Pinterest. Once we create an ideabook for a client, we invite them to look at what has been chosen and from there it will help us make decisions on what they prefer and do not care for. Some clients know exactly what they want for their project, and from there we can help with sourcing to find the best price.
You can create an account and start saving your own ideas too! Feel free to send them to us and lets have some fun.
Let’s start saving!
